Internet scamming or ''Yahoo Yahoo'' as my street brothers call it or
are involved in it, has been a source of of mysteriously unexplained
increase in the GDP of the Nigerian economy. The ''419'' theory has a
very thick and rugged stand in the average Nigerian DNA.
Time
and times, orientations, awareness and sensitization, and strict
government laws varying from huge fines, imprisonment penalties have been
made with very stringent bail conditions to get out of any
entanglements if found guilty or caught in the act
But what
really bothers me most that drove me to writing the short article is
really to determining what age is the Nigerian child exposed to the
internet scamming techniques in which they acquire immense experience in
the art of cunning potential ''Clients or Magas'' to part with
money, expensive gadget, even international traveling opportunities with
the view of getting international stay in the diaspora of their choice i
which frequently destinations are within African continent which
include South Africa, Ghana and some remote islands the don't even
reflect on the map and international destinations include Malaysia
(Malay Bois), UK, America and some European countries
In
Nigeria you will find mostly boys and in few cases girls under the age
of 16-19, boys carrying dreadlocks with no form of formal educational
qualifications or technical know-how in informal education with huge
some of money cooling off in their bank accounts and driving expensive
cars with underground fame and fortune.
After all said to
me i really don't blame our future leaders of tomorrow indulging in
such acts and acrimony because the Nigerian government has not really
done any anything however minute or reasonably tangibly'' if my audience
will pardon my use of vocabulary'' to encourage children of the masses
Am only a pencil in the hand of the creator, he strengthens, inspires me to write this...
