TB Joshua's Student Makes Nigeria Proud In UK (Photos

A prodigious Nigerian student is proudly flying the flag for country and continent in the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.

This beautiful lady, Olayinka Oduwole, has been highlighted as the sole African representative in Oxford University’s ‘Woman In Engineering’, a list containing just 25 female scholars who are excelling in their chosen fields.

“I have been privileged to meet enormously gifted personalities, who are not just academically strong but with ambition to change the world in which they live and leave a permanent footprint in history,” Olayinka wrote in her profile, featured prominently on the University of Oxford’s Department of Engineering Science website.

 The University of Lagos graduate is at the tale-end of a PhD program at Kellogg College, Oxford, after the completion of a successful Master’s degree at University College London, UK.

In contrast to several Nigerian prodigies who are functioning abroad, Oduwole has already stated her resolve to use her invaluable experience to develop her country of origin.

“I intend to use my skills to help encourage young ones in my country into pursuing science and engineering; I intend to help revive the declining state of research in my country,” Olayinka stated on the Oxford University website, who used her as an example of an African student who was excelling amidst the competitive environment of the prestigious university.

The story of Olayinka is inspirational to say the least. From a poverty-stricken home, she was working diligently in church when spotted by Nigerian Pastor and philanthropist, T.B. Joshua. 

Recognising her academic prowess and meagre financial backing, the cleric sponsored her tertiary education in its totality.

“What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you,” Joshua told congregants when announcing he was supporting the young student with £100,000 (N45,000,000) to pursue her PhD in Oxford in 2012.

In a clip uploaded to Joshua’s official YouTube channel Emmanuel TV, Olayinka gives clear advice to her fellow students seeking academic success: "Pray as if everything depends on God and work as if everything depends on you."

With graduation around the corner, a bright future lies ahead for the young Nigerian engineer.

 So the Miss LASU Beauty Peageant event ended today with a new event company handling the project #MLK event planning, if you are familiar with the Lagos state miss tourism you should know them well,the Miss #LASU is one of the biggest show in the Lagos State University community and a lot of expectation are suppose to be met with and judging from the last year event all I can say is this is the worst event ever orchestrated inside the school as the organisers #MLK did not only disappoint the students, he also lied about the appearance of DMW artistes Dremo and Mayorkun and the Information that got to me about there absence was that the organisers did not pay there money for the show but all he was saying was that day should come that he will pay them after the show.. please where is it done like that? This was a Big F9 on MLK events maybe there was not enough money to pay the artist 'hmmmmm'

An audition was been put in place by the organisers for LASU artist you were going to perform at the event,the screening was done and the selected artist were already told about there performance many of them were already on campus by 10:00am just to know when they were going to perform but, only to get a shocking news that all performing artist must buy ticket before they can allowed to perform.

Now my question to you Mr MLK sir

1. Were you going to pay all those artist for there performance?

2. Is that how to encourage up and coming Artist?

And if you know that they were going to buy a spot on our own school event why didn't you just tell them that in the first place than letting them go through the stress of auditioning?

To the event proper first the sound system used by the organisers was of low grade and bad quality now most of you will say that's the Djs fault but the truth of the matter is he was just been confirm as the dj for the event that morning and on top of that the organisers did not pay him well for his service so he gave them what they paid for. Another big flop by the organisers was the main show its self honestly speaking I was not sure it was a beauty pageant event that was going on to those that can testify last year was DOPE well that is all I have to say about this dry/sad event given to us as entertainment by MLK events
And please we hope not to see you next year sir thank you..

Sex With Female Student: UNIOSUN Lecturer Opens Up

Here's an open letter to Nigerians and the Whole World on the alleged “UNIOSUN lecturer in s*x scandal video”:

1. I am Olabode Wale OJONIYI, the man in the eyes of the storm of Femi Makinde’s “UNIOSUN lecturer in s*x scandal video” published in The Punch of 11th August, 2016.

2. While I have instructed my lawyers to take appropriate legal steps on the said report in The Punch, I am using this medium to inform Nigerians and the whole world that I am ready for an open live television media investigation of the said allegation against me provided that:

a. The said lady in the report Ikwe Ejiro Mercy will be invited and present.
b. Dr. Amao Temitayo Ayanbisi, the woman who collected money from students to alter their grades and contracted their projects out to academic machineries will be invited and present.

i. This is the woman I spearheaded her investigation, who was found guilty by the University on the strength of the evidence I provided and was dismissed from the University.
ii. She is one of the people who gave a contract of blackmailing me to Ikwe Ejiro Mercy.

c. Professor Olukoya Ogen, Provost Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, the man who brought the purported video of me to the University to claim that I am ‘one of the people changing grades for students for sexual gratification will be invited and present’.

i. He is the one who brought two fake SSS to the University…
ii. The one who ran away and refused to honour the University Panel investigating the case when his criminal conspiracy with Dr. Amao T.A to blackmail me was discovered.

d. Professors Alebiosu O. C and Akintayo D. I both of Uniosun who threatened me to drop the case and evidences against Dr. Amao T.A before she was dismissed by the University will be invited and present.

i. They are the main two out of the four people who attempted to force and blackmail me to negotiate a settlement with Dr. Amao T.A and Professor Olukoya Ogen.
ii. They are the ones who vowed that I cannot make any academic progress again if I do not negotiate with Professor Olukoya Ogen and his group of blackmailers.

e. Femi Makinde of The Punch and his alleged Petitioners will be invited and present.

I am here pleading with well-meaning Nigerians and any reputable television media organisation to quickly organise and call for this open media investigation panel on this case.

Another University Lecturer Assassinated

Days after a lecturer was killed in Borno state, another lecturer of the University of Mkar in Gboko town Benue State, Mr. Aondosoo Winifred Tondo has been murdered. He was reportedly killed by unknown gunmen in the early hours of today at his house located within the University staff quarters.

Reports have it that four gunmen stormed his house at about 4 am and shot him in front of his wife.

He was rushed to Myom hospital but later transferred to Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi where he was declared dead.

The late lecturer was nursing an ambition to contest for the chairmanship position of Buruku local government area of his state. Nothing was missing from the house as the gunmen didn’t rob.

Anti-Union??? LASU Ban Events Outfit, Willy Wears & Associates On Campus

The Authority of Lagos State University, acting in the interest and the protection of the good image of the institution, has banned an event outfit, Willy Wears and Associates from sponsoring or organizing any event at the University.

The outfit in conjunction with Faculty of Arts Students’ Association staged a Fashion show on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Theatre Arts Auditorium, main Campus, Ojo, Lagos without obtaining approval from the University authority.

According to the Students’ Affairs Division, in a letter to the Association and Willy Wears and Associates contravened the existing procedures for approval, simply because procedures were not met by the association before starting the event. It added that questions were raised on the letter of request and notification forwarded to the Acting Dean, Students’ Affairs which the Association failed to respond to.
