DEAN, STUDENTS’ AFFAIRS BOWS OUT IN STYLE, COUNSELS LASUSU EXECUTIVES Having successfully served the University in the capacity as Dean, Students’ Affairs Division for four [4] years and four [4] months, Prof. Kabir Akinyemi bowed out of office in style and with his head high on Thursday, March 31, 2016. At the breakfast interactive session, the Vice Chancellor, Professor ‘Lanre Fagbohun held with the Lagos State University Students’ Union Executives [LASUSU], the Baba Ewe as fondly called by the students said “I will be leaving office in seventy two [72] hours, making it four [4] years and four [4] months as the Dean, Students’ Affairs. I came on board at a critical time of new school fee regime. I thank Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for the decisions he had taken on LASU so far “. He added. Prof. Akinyemi urged the LASUSU Executives to embrace dialogue, than, taking to protest in their demands. He asked them to always respect the University constituted authority at all times. He appreciated the Vice Chancellor for his efforts in rebranding the institution. It would be recalled that under Prof. Akinyemi, the University Students’ Union had three [3] consecutive peaceful, free and fair elections through the electronic voting model that was designed by two [2] students from Lagos State University, Faculty of Engineering, Epe.
